These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sweeper mobile application ("the App") provided by Mudbyte ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the App.

3. The service

Sweeper helps you free up storage by finding duplicate or similar photos, large files, and screenshots, and by compressing videos — all processed locally on your device. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

4. ⚠️ Deletion is permanent — back up your data

The App lets you delete photos, videos, and other files. Deletion and compression are performed against your device storage and may be irreversible. You are solely responsible for reviewing items before confirming deletion or compression, and for maintaining your own backups (e.g., Google Photos, cloud, or local backups).

We are not liable for any loss of photos, videos, files, or data resulting from your use of the App, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

The App offers an optional Premium subscription (e.g., weekly, monthly, or yearly) that unlocks additional features and removes ads.
Subscriptions are sold and processed through Google Play Billing; payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; your account is charged within 24 hours prior to renewal.
Manage or cancel any time in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Refunds are handled by Google Play per Google's policies. We do not directly process payments or issue refunds. Any free trial converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends.

6. Free version and advertising

The free version is supported by advertising via Google AdMob. By using the free version you agree to the display of ads. Purchasing Premium removes ads.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code except as permitted by law; use the App for any unlawful purpose or to infringe others' rights; interfere with or disrupt the App or its security; or resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App without our written permission.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its name, logo, design, and software, is owned by Mudbyte and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. "Sweeper" and "Mudbyte" are our marks.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services including Google Play Billing, Google AdMob, and Google Firebase. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, detect every duplicate, or recover any data.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mudbyte shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 10.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mudbyte from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and uninstall it at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., 4, 8, 10, 11, 12) will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [INSERT GOVERNING JURISDICTION — e.g., your country/state of residence], without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Nothing here limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
